Independence Spirit: PLN Indonesia Power Employees Support Humanity Through Blood Donation
Jakarta, August 19, 2026 – Celebrating independence is not only about remembering the struggles of national heroes, but also about making a real contribution that benefits others. This spirit was shown by PLN Indonesia Power through a blood donation event titled “A Drop of Blood, Energy for the Nation”, held at the PLN Indonesia Power Head Office on Wednesday (August 19).
In collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), the event was held in the Multipurpose Room on the 2nd Floor of the PLN Indonesia Power Head Office as part of the activities commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Of the 150 registered participants, 126 bags of blood were successfully collected from participants who met the requirements after completing health checks.
Through this blood donation activity, PLN Indonesia Power encouraged its employees to take part in a social action that provides direct benefits to the community. Blood donation is also a form of care and mutual support that reflects national values and the spirit of contributing to the country.
For PLN Indonesia Power, the spirit of independence is in line with its commitment to continue contributing to Indonesia. This contribution is not only shown through providing reliable electricity to support people’s daily activities and the national economy, but also through the involvement of employees in social and humanitarian activities.
Before donating blood, every participant first underwent a health check and was required to meet the blood donation requirements. This process was carried out to ensure that the donation could take place safely and that the donated blood could provide benefits to people who need it.
The enthusiasm of PLN Indonesia Power employees in taking part in the event also reflects the growing culture of caring within the company. The spirit of giving is expected to continue beyond the Independence Day celebration and become part of the company’s culture of creating positive impact for the community.
