One of the company's efforts to realize zero accidents is reflected in the strengthening of safety culture throughout the PLN Indonesia Power work environment. This is a necessity that is the company's core value through a series of processes that are managed professionally and sustainably.

PLN Indonesia Power is consistent in maintaining K3 management performance and has succeeded in increasing the maturity level of K3 K2 management to achieve zero accidents. This strengthening is assisted by the involvement and commitment to implementing a safety culture by all stakeholders such as management, employees, guests, work partners and the surrounding community which is supported by the implementation of the highest safety standards by the company.

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Excellence

K3 Culture Transformation

PLN Indonesia Power continues to strive to improve the performance of K3 management in each of its work units, one of the programs implemented is the K3 Culture Transformation. This program aims to transform the K3 culture of PLN Indonesia Power employees from being Independent to Interdependent.

To realize the Implementation of K3 Culture Transformation in the Company, Perdir Number: 0004.P/DIR/2023 concerning the Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Culture Transformation and Perdir Number: 0069.P/DIR/2023 concerning the Implementation of Safety Observation and Stop Work Authority (SWA) have been issued. 

The K3 Culture Transformation Program currently being implemented in the company to form a K3 culture in all PLN Indonesia Power employees is:

  1. Safety Contact;
  2. Management Walkdown;
  3. Safety Observation;
  4. IPSAFE Application Reporting

For the effective implementation of K3 (safety culture), PLN Indonesia Power has again received appreciation for K3 (Safety Excellence) awards at the 2023 Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Awards by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, including:

  1. Zero accident category in 33 Work Units,
  2. P2HIV category (HIV-AIDS Prevention and Control Program) in 14 Work Units,

With this achievement, PLN Indonesia Power is not complacent but continues to seek room for improving the implementation of K3 to achieve a superior K3 culture.

Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS)

The Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS) is part of a management system designed to manage Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) aspects in supporting an organization's business activities. CSMS includes organizational arrangements, planning, responsibilities, procedures, processes, and resources to develop, implement, achieve, review, and maintain an occupational safety and health management system in accordance with organizational policies, especially in work carried out by contractors.

This standard is specifically designed for contractors to ensure that their work is carried out safely, both in terms of OHS, security, and the environment. Contractors are required to carry out work safely and responsibly, with the aim of reducing the potential for work accidents and incidents that may occur according to the level of risk of the work.

As a concrete step to support the implementation of CSMS and Work Permit, the company has issued Board of Directors Regulation (Perdir) Number 141.K/010/IP/2021 concerning the Implementation of the Contractor Safety Management System. This policy is the main guideline for all related parties in ensuring optimal implementation of OHS at every stage of work
