PT PLN Indonesia Geothermal ("PLN IGeo") plays a strategic role in advancing the transition towards clean energy. Following its transfer to PLN Indonesia Power Renewables (PLN IPRen), PLN IGeo has focused on the development of renewable energy power plants, particularly Solar Power Plants (PLTS), through both leasing and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) schemes, serving both the PLN Group and Non PLN Group. Going forward, PLN IGeo is projected to become a dedicated entity for geothermal development, thereby reinforcing PLN IP Group’s commitment to delivering sustainable and environmentally friendly energy.

PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables ("PLN IPRen"), as an unrestricted subsidiary of PLN Indonesia Power, focuses on investment and participating interest in various power generation projects through several special purpose companies such as REP, GCLIT, IRT, TMAI, IATSaguling, IATSingkarak, and MBE. In addition, PLN IPRen is also expanding its green energy portfolio through PT PLN Indonesia Geothermal (PLN IGeo).


PT Indo Ridlatama Power (“IRP”) is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) operating under a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) scheme. The company develops and operates a Mine-Mouth Coal-Fired Power Plant with a capacity of 2 x 27.5 MW located in Muara Jawa, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan. Electricity generated is sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and transmitted through the 150 kV East Kalimantan interconnection system. The plant uses low-calorie coal to ensure long-term fuel supply reliability. IRP’s shareholders consist of PT PLN Indonesia Power, with expertise in the electricity sector, and PT Ridlatama Bangun Mandiri, a subsidiary of Ridlatama Group, specializing in coal, oil, and gas.

PT PLN Indonesia Power Services ("PIPS"), formerly PT Cogindo DayaBersama established in 1998, has grown into a trusted provider of integrated power solutions with over two decades of experience. Recognized with the prestigious Best O&M Company award at the 2018 IBEA, PIPS has expanded its operations across Indonesia and internationally, including partnerships in Kuwait and Vietnam. Today, PIPS continues to strengthen its role within PLN Indonesia Power and the PLN Group, committed to advancing the national electricity sector and positioning itself as a Trusted Energy Solutions Provider in Asia.

PT Artha Daya Coalindo ("ADC"), established in 1997, is a subsidiary of PT PLN Indonesia Power ("PLN IP"). The company operates in coal trading, mining, transportation, loading and unloading, marketing, and agency services. In 2012, ADC expanded its business to port management, leveraging PLN IP’s extensive experience in fuel management, particularly coal, for its ±3,400 MW Suralaya Power Plant.

PT Trina Mas Agra Indonesia (“TMAI”) is a joint venture company established to develop solar cell and photovoltaic module manufacturing facilities.PLN Indonesia Power Renewables (“PLN IPRen”), together with its strategic partner PT Trina Dian Agra Energy (“PT TDAE”), has entered into a collaboration to develop solar cell and solar panel manufacturing facilities in support of advancing renewable energy utilization in Indonesia. PT TDAE itself is a joint venture established by Trina Solar Co. Ltd., a global pioneer in solar panel technology.
To achieve the targeted production capacity of 1 GWp, TMAI will adopt TopCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) technology, an advanced innovation that has not yet been applied within Indonesia’s Solar PV industry. Through the implementation of this technology, solar panel efficiency can be enhanced up to 28.7%, significantly higher than the current average efficiency of approximately 20%.

PT PLN Suku Cadang ("PLNSC") was established in 2017 as a subsidiary dedicated to providing goods and services for power generation facilities within PT PLN (Persero). PLNSC plays a vital role in ensuring the availability of spare parts, technical services, and supporting solutions to enhance the reliability and efficiency of power plant operations. Leveraging its expertise in procurement and supply chain management, PLNSC serves as a strategic partner to the PLN Group in sustaining the operations of Indonesia’s national power generation sector.

PT Indo Pusaka Berau (“IPB”) was established in 2005 as a continuation of the Indo Pusaka Berau Consortium, which had previously developed and operated the Lati Coal-Fired Power Plant (PLTU Lati) with a capacity of 3×7 MW since 2004. The company focuses on power generation and distribution through a 20 kV medium-voltage transmission network spanning approximately 132 km, serving PT PLN (Persero) Berau Area, PT Berau Coal, and PT Smart Telecom.

PT Minahasa Brantas Energi (“MBE”) is a joint venture between PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables and PT Brantas Energi, dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions through the development of the Poigar Hydroelectric Power Plant with a capacity of 2 x 15 MW. Strategically located in Minahasa, North Sulawesi, the project is designed to harness renewable water resources sustainably, delivering environmentally friendly green energy. Currently in the construction phase, the Poigar Hydroelectric Power Plant will enhance electricity reliability while supporting Indonesia’s energy transition goals.

PT Indo Acwa Tenaga Singkarak (“IATSingkarak”) is a joint venture between PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables (PLN IPRen) and ACWA Power, dedicated to advancing renewable energy development in Indonesia. The company is currently preparing the construction of the 60 MW Singkarak Solar Power Plant (PLTS Singkarak), located near Lake Singkarak in West Sumatra. Now in the pre-construction phase, the project is designed to accelerate the nation’s energy transition while reinforcing Indonesia’s commitment to achieving its renewable energy mix target. The establishment of PLTS Singkarak also highlights the strategic collaboration between global and national partners in delivering clean and sustainable energy solutions.

PT Indo Acwa Tenaga Saguling (“IATSaguling”) is a joint venture between PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables (PLN IPRen) and ACWA Power, dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions through the development of the 60 MW Saguling Solar Power Plant (PLTS Saguling). Located in West Java and currently under construction, the project marks a strategic milestone in accelerating Indonesia’s energy transition and supporting the achievement of the national renewable energy mix target.

PT Maxpower Cogindo Batam ("MCB") is a joint venture between PT Maxpower Indonesia and PT PLN Indonesia Power Services. Established to develop and operate the Baloi Gas Engine Power Plant (PLTMG Baloi) with an installed capacity of 30 MW in Batam, MCB plays a significant role in meeting the region’s growing energy demand. The company contributes to strengthening national energy security by delivering reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity supply.

PT Indo Raya Tenaga ("IRT") is an IPP joint venture between PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables (PLN IPRen) and Barito Pacific, established in 2017 to develop the Jawa 9 & 10 Ultra Super Critical Coal-Fired Power Plant (2 x 1,000 MW), a USD 3.5 billion National Strategic Project. Majority-owned by PLN IPRen, the project in Suralaya, Cilegon has created over 6,000 local jobs, achieved 10 million manhours without LTI, and successfully entered commercial operation on May 2, 2025. Recognized both domestically and internationally as a “Project of the Year” for its financing structure, governance, and state-of-the-art emission control systems, IRT stands as Indonesia’s best-in-class coal-fired power plant reference.

PT GCL Indo Tenaga ("GCLIT") is an IPP Joint Venture between Taicang Harbour Golden Concord Electric-Power Generation Co., Ltd. and PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables (PLN IPRen), established to develop and operate the Kalbar-1 Coal-Fired Power Plant with a capacity of 2 x 100 MW as part of the National Strategic Project under the 35,000 MW Program outlined in the 2015 RPJMN. Located in Tanjung Gundul Village, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan, the project commenced construction in 2017 and successfully achieved commercial operation on June 25, 2021, despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Kalbar-1 plays a vital role in strengthening West Kalimantan’s power infrastructure and supporting Indonesia’s national energy security.

PT Rajamandala Electric Power (“REP”) delivers sustainable energy solutions through the 47 MW Rajamandala Hydropower Plant in Cianjur, West Java. Designed as a run-of-river facility, the plant harnesses the flow of the Citarum River with a discharge of 168 m³/s and a gross head of 34 meters, enabling an average annual generation of 181 GWh, equivalent to saving 70 million liters of fuel. Since commencing commercial operations on May 12, 2019, Rajamandala Hydropower has not only strengthened the reliability of the Java-Bali grid but also demonstrated a successful USD 150 million green investment, financed internationally by JBIC and Mizuho Bank without government guarantees.
