Sukabumi, March 5–6, 2026 – PT PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP), through its Generation Business Unit (UBP) Kamojang and the Gunung Salak Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP), organized a social initiative to share joy with orphans living around its operational area. The program was conducted in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan and reflects the company’s commitment to supporting communities in need, particularly orphaned children.

As part of the initiative, PLN Indonesia Power distributed charitable assistance to 200 orphans residing in communities surrounding PLTP Gunung Salak. The program was carried out over two days, from March 5 to 6, 2026, as part of the company’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to deliver sustainable social value to communities near its operations.

The assistance reached four sub-districts across two regencies—Bogor and Sukabumi—namely Pamijahan in Bogor Regency, and Kabandungan, Kalapanunggal, and Parungkuda in Sukabumi Regency. Through this program, the company aims to provide tangible benefits while strengthening harmonious relationships with local communities.

The symbolic handover of donations was conducted by the Manager of PLTP Gunung Salak, Mulyadi Kusumah, to representatives of the beneficiaries. The events took place at Masjid Raudathul Jannah and Rumah Tahfidz Saung Qur’an, attended by representatives of the PLN Indonesia Power UBP Kamojang Employees Association, mosque welfare boards (DKM), community leaders, and representatives of local educational and religious institutions.

The program also featured a religious sermon delivered by Ustadz Wahyudin, who shared inspiring messages on the importance of generosity, strengthening social care, and embracing the spirit of Ramadan to foster unity and compassion.

In his remarks, Mulyadi Kusumah emphasized PLN Indonesia Power’s commitment to delivering meaningful benefits to both the community and the environment.

“PLN Indonesia Power remains committed to providing optimal value to the community and the surrounding environment. We hope that the assistance delivered through this initiative will bring meaningful benefits and blessings to all,” he stated.

Appreciation was also expressed by Ustadz Iwan Ruswandi, a teacher at Rumah Tahfidz Saung Qur’an, who conveyed gratitude for the company’s continued support.

“We extend our sincere appreciation to PT PLN Indonesia Power for consistently supporting orphaned children in this area. May this kindness bring blessings to the company and all those involved,” he said.

This orphan support program is an annual initiative consistently carried out by PLN Indonesia Power as part of its commitment to social responsibility. Through this activity, the company aims to continuously deliver tangible benefits and spread happiness, particularly to vulnerable groups such as orphaned children in the operational area of PLTP Gunung Salak.
