PLN Indonesia Power’s Gas Power Generation Director Reviews Electricity Readiness for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr at UBP Mahakam
Samarinda, March 4, 2026 – As part of its commitment to ensuring reliable electricity supply while strengthening social responsibility during the holy month of Ramadan, PLN Indonesia Power, through its Generation Business Unit (UBP) Mahakam, conducted an Electricity Readiness Inspection and Ramadan Safari 1447 H. The initiative underscores the operational preparedness of power plants to maintain electricity reliability throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026, while also incorporating social activities including charitable donations to orphans and underprivileged communities, as well as a communal iftar gathering.
The event was attended by the Director of Gas Power Generation Operations of PLN Indonesia Power, Purnomo; Vice President PGR II, I Dewa Made; Manager of UBP Mahakam, Firman Ramdan; management representatives of the PLN Group in Samarinda; PIKK PLN Indonesia Power; representatives from Rumah Zakat; and all employees and outsourced personnel.
The program commenced with a Ramadan Safari combined with an Electricity Readiness Inspection, beginning with a coordination meeting to ensure the preparedness of primary equipment, supporting systems, and occupational safety aspects. Comprehensive assessments were conducted as part of risk mitigation efforts to ensure a stable, secure, and reliable power system during a period of increased electricity demand.
Manager of UBP Mahakam, Firman Ramdan, emphasized that all teams are fully prepared to support the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period. “We have ensured that all operational lines are in optimal condition to maintain reliable electricity supply, while also extending meaningful benefits to the community,” he stated.
Director of Gas Power Generation Operations of PLN Indonesia Power, Purnomo, highlighted that Ramadan serves as a momentum to deliver not only reliable energy but also social care. He further emphasized the importance of maintaining high operational standards by promoting a culture of zero defect, zero accident, and zero tolerance for error in all work processes.
The event continued with the distribution of charitable donations to orphans and underprivileged communities in collaboration with Rumah Zakat and LAZ Annur at the PLN UBP Mahakam Hall, followed by a religious sermon, prayers, and a communal iftar. This initiative reaffirms PLN Indonesia Power’s commitment to delivering reliable and sustainable energy while creating tangible social value for the community.
