PLN Indonesia Power UBP Keramasan Provides Assistance to Fire Victims in Ring 1 Kertapati Area
Palembang, February 12, 2026 – PLN Indonesia Power UBP Keramasan demonstrated its commitment to supporting communities affected by disasters by delivering assistance to victims of a fire incident in the Ring 1 area of PLTGU Keramasan, specifically in Lorong Kemana, Jalan Abikusno, Kemang Agung Subdistrict, Kertapati District, Palembang City.
The assistance was handed over directly by the Manager of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Keramasan, Syafi’i, accompanied by the Head of Kertapati District, Rifandi Putra, the Head of Kemang Agung Subdistrict, Budi Laksana, as well as representatives from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Palembang City. This initiative is part of the PLN Peduli Disaster Response Program in collaboration with LAZ Annur UBP Keramasan.
The fire, which occurred on Thursday (February 12), struck a densely populated residential area, destroying 13 houses out of a total of 16 affected households and leaving dozens of residents without shelter and personal belongings. Through this program, PLN Indonesia Power provided both moral support and logistical assistance to help ease the burden of the affected community.
Syafi’i, Manager of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Keramasan, stated that this initiative reflects the company’s commitment to being present for the community, especially during emergency situations and disasters.
“Through the PLN Peduli Disaster Response Program, we hope the assistance provided can help meet the basic needs of affected residents and accelerate the recovery process following the fire,” he said.
The Head of Kertapati District, Rifandi Putra, expressed appreciation for the swift response of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Keramasan, highlighting its strong collaboration with the local government. Similar sentiments were conveyed by the Head of Kemang Agung Subdistrict and BPBD Palembang, emphasizing that synergy between the private sector and government plays a crucial role in effective disaster management.
