PLN Indonesia Power UBP Grati Strengthens Eco Agropreneur Program through Organic Fertilizer and Eco Enzyme Training

Pasuruan, January 30, 2026 – PLN Indonesia Power UBP Grati conducted a two-day training program on the production of organic fertilizer and eco enzyme for its assisted community groups in Jatiarjo Village, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency. The initiative forms part of the Company’s eco agropreneur innovation program, which focuses on strengthening environmentally friendly agricultural practices and community empowerment.

The training was held from Thursday (January 29) to Friday (January 30) at Kampung Kopi, Jatiarjo Village. More than 60 participants attended, representing two assisted groups: Sumber Makmur Abadi (SUMADI) and LPHD Arjuno Lestari. The program was delivered in collaboration with P4S Tani Makmur, Beji District, Pasuruan Regency, as the main training partner.

The training materials covered the production techniques of organic fertilizer and eco enzyme, selection of raw materials, fermentation processes, and practical application in agricultural land. This program is expected to enhance the knowledge and technical capacity of participants in organic farming while promoting environmental sustainability through improved soil management practices.

Haryo Penangsang, Administration Manager of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Grati, stated that the training reflects the Company’s commitment to supporting community self-reliance and food security. “Through this program, we aim to improve participants’ competence and understanding of organic farming, enabling them to produce healthy food products while preserving environmental balance,” he said.

Damianto, Head of P4S Tani Makmur, provided direct guidance on the stages of producing organic fertilizer and eco enzyme and shared practical insights on effective organic farming methods. A distinctive feature of this training was the use of processed non-hazardous shell powder waste sourced from the unit’s surrounding area as part of the fertilizer mixture. The material was combined with other organic ingredients, including coconut water, rice-washing water, tempeh wastewater, molasses, young leaves, shallots, and garlic.

The program concluded with a hands-on practice session, where participants were divided into three groups to produce organic fertilizer and eco enzyme. This initiative represents a concrete step toward building a sustainable green agriculture ecosystem based on local potential.
