PRESS RELEASE NO. 004/RELEASE/PLNIP/UBPBEU/2026
PLN Indonesia Power UBP Berau Reaffirms Anti-Bribery Commitment Through 2026 SMAP Implementation Signing

PLN Indonesia Power, through its Generation Business Unit (UBP) Berau, has reaffirmed its policy direction in strengthening a culture of integrity within the workplace. This commitment was demonstrated through the signing of the 2026 Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) Implementation Commitment, aligned with the International Organization for Standardization SNI ISO 37001:2016 standard.

This initiative goes beyond a ceremonial activity, serving as a clear affirmation that anti-bribery efforts are an integral part of the company’s corporate governance strategy. The Manager of UBP Berau, Ricky Rinaldi, together with the management team, signed the commitment document as a symbol of collective responsibility in ensuring transparent and accountable business processes.

In his statement, Ricky emphasized that the implementation of SMAP reflects the company’s consistency in upholding Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles, which form part of the broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework within PLN. He noted that integrity is not merely an administrative obligation, but a fundamental pillar in building public trust and strengthening relationships with business partners.

UBP Berau also continues to promote the internalization of ethical values through the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct, as well as the application of the “4 No’s” principle: No Bribery, No Kickback, No Gift, and No Luxurious Hospitality. These principles are expected to serve as behavioral standards for all employees in both operational activities and interactions with stakeholders.

Management further emphasized that the successful implementation of SMAP requires collective effort. Strong synergy among all employees, business partners, and stakeholders is essential to fostering a professional, transparent, and sustainable business ecosystem within the Berau operational area.
