PLN Indonesia Power Receives Prestigious KADIN Award for World-Class ESG Implementation

JAKARTA, June 25, 2026 – PT PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) has once again strengthened its position as a leader in implementing strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The company received the prestigious ESG Governance Achievement Award in the Energy Sector at the ESG Governance KADIN–GAPPS International Awards 2026.

The award was presented directly to Julita Indah, Director of Business Development and Commerce of PLN Indonesia Power, accompanied by Windy Febriasari, Vice President of Corporate Planning & Sustainability, and Ulfa Millany, Vice President of Corporate Communication & CSR, during the award ceremony held in Jakarta on Wednesday (June 25).

Julita Indah stated, “This achievement reflects PLN Indonesia Power’s strong commitment and consistency in integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into our business operations and project management. This international recognition motivates us to continue driving green innovation and creating sustainable value for the future.”

Elim Sritaba, Vice Chairman for Sustainable Business and Governance at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), explained, “Many businesses still consider ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to be the same. In fact, they serve different purposes. CSR generally focuses on social responsibility and philanthropic initiatives that benefit communities, while ESG refers to a broader and more systematic framework of corporate governance. ESG integrates environmental and social considerations directly into a company’s core strategy and operations to ensure long-term sustainability.”

During the event, Tony M. Simmonds, Finance Director of GAPPS, emphasized the importance of project management in achieving ESG goals. “Strong project management is the key to turning ESG commitments into measurable results. This award recognizes organizations that demonstrate governance not merely as a compliance requirement, but as a living management practice that delivers measurable value and positive impacts for both the organization and its stakeholders worldwide,” he said.

This achievement at the ESG Governance KADIN–GAPPS International Awards 2026 further confirms that PLN Indonesia Power’s transformation journey is on the right track. Supported by strong governance and accountable project management, the company remains committed to leading Indonesia’s energy transition while contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
