Facing the Dry Season, Adipala Power Plant Provides Clean Water to Local Communities

Cilacap, August 12, 2026 – PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Central Java 2 Adipala continues to support local communities by providing clean water to several areas in Cilacap Regency. In collaboration with the Cilacap Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Adipala Power Plant distributed clean water to six villages across four districts, with a total of 10 water tanks.

This activity is part of Adipala Power Plant’s efforts to help communities facing limited access to clean water, especially during the dry season. The distribution was carried out in stages based on the needs of each area, in coordination with local governments and village authorities.

The four districts receiving the clean water were Patimuan, Gandrungmangu, Dayeuhluhur, and Wanareja. In Patimuan District, five water tanks were distributed to Cimrutu and Sidamukti villages. Gandrungmangu District received three tanks for Layansari and Karanggintung villages. Meanwhile, Dayeuhluhur Village in Dayeuhluhur District and Tarisi Village in Wanareja District each received one water tank. Each tank has a capacity of 5,000 liters.

The collaboration between Adipala Power Plant and the Cilacap BPBD was carried out to ensure that the clean water distribution was effective and reached people who needed it most. Coordination with village authorities was also carried out to determine the distribution locations and understand the needs of each community.

Head of the Cilacap BPBD, Taryo, appreciated Adipala Power Plant’s contribution in providing clean water to the residents of Sidamukti Village.

“We would like to thank PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Adipala for helping the community, especially by providing and distributing clean water in Sidamukti Village. This assistance is very meaningful for the community, especially as we are expected to face the peak of the dry season based on information from BMKG. We hope the dry season will not last too long and will soon be followed by rain that brings blessings, not disasters. We also hope that this kind of collaboration can continue in the future so that more communities can benefit,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nova Andri Wijanarko, Assistant Manager of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (K3 and Environment) at Adipala Power Plant, said that the clean water distribution is a form of the company’s concern for communities, especially those facing water shortages.

“We hope that this clean water assistance for Sidamukti Village can help meet the daily needs of the residents. We also hope that we can continue working together and building strong cooperation between the village government and other relevant parties. This assistance is a form of our concern for the community. We hope it will be well received and provide real benefits to the people of Sidamukti Village,” he said.
