Tangerang, February 18, 2026 — PT PLN Indonesia Power Generation Business Unit (UBP) Cilegon reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening community-based climate resilience through a Field Learning activity under the Climate Village Program (ProKlim). The program involved representatives of ProKlim RW 04 Kampung Dukuh, Margagiri Village, visiting a ProKlim Lestari site in RW 03 Panunggangan Utara Subdistrict, Pinang District, Tangerang City, Banten.

Organized by PLN Indonesia Power UBP Cilegon, the activity was attended by the ProKlim management team of RW 04 Margagiri Village, accompanied by the company’s CSR team and the Environmental Agency of Serang Regency. The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to enhance institutional capacity and strengthen community participation in climate change adaptation and mitigation programs.

The field learning initiative aimed to broaden participants’ knowledge and practical understanding of sustainable ProKlim management, while supporting RW 04 Kampung Dukuh’s pathway toward achieving the ProKlim Lestari category. It also served as a platform for knowledge sharing, particularly in administrative governance and strategies for applying for ProKlim Lestari recognition.

The delegation was warmly received by the ProKlim management team of RW 03 Panunggangan Utara Subdistrict, accompanied by the Environmental Agency of Tangerang City. In his remarks, RW 03 Head Erik Syehabudin expressed appreciation for the visit.

“We would like to extend our gratitude for the visit from RW 04 Margagiri Village. We apologize for any shortcomings in our reception. We hope this visit will be beneficial and serve as a platform for sharing experiences in ProKlim management,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Ali Nur Fikri, CSR Officer of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Cilegon, explained that the field learning activity reflects the company’s commitment to supporting community-based programs.

“This activity aims to provide direct insight to the ProKlim RW 04 team regarding successful and sustainable ProKlim implementation. We expect that the best practices observed here can be adopted and applied in Margagiri Village, thereby strengthening its readiness to achieve ProKlim Lestari status,” he explained.

The program continued with in-depth discussions on sustainable ProKlim management, covering institutional aspects, administrative documentation, and innovative climate adaptation and mitigation initiatives implemented by ProKlim RW 03. These include community-based waste management initiatives such as Shodaqoh Sampah, Eco Enzyme House, Women Farmers Group (KWT) gardens, community health posts (Posyandu), and neighborhood-level environmental management.

Through direct observation, participants gained practical insights into strengthening community participation, implementing socially driven waste management systems, and integrating environmental programs with public health and food security initiatives.

Through collaboration and shared learning, ProKlim RW 04 Kampung Dukuh, Margagiri Village is expected to further enhance its environmental management practices and serve as a model of best practices for other communities.
