Together with the Local Government, PLN Indonesia Power Supports Community Economic Development Around Pemaron Diesel Power Plant

Buleleng, June 12, 2026 – PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali reaffirmed its commitment to improving community welfare through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program. As part of this initiative, the company provided economic empowerment assistance to communities living around the Pemaron Diesel Power Plant (PLTD Pemaron) to help strengthen local businesses and promote sustainable economic independence.

In addition to the economic assistance program, PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali also organized health education and free medical check-ups for 125 residents living near PLTD Pemaron. The program aimed to improve access to basic healthcare services for communities in the company's operational area.

The assistance was officially handed over by Yusna Prambudi, Manager of the Gilimanuk–Pemaron Unit of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali, to representatives of the beneficiary communities. On the occasion, he emphasized that the economic empowerment program reflects the company's commitment to creating long-term value for surrounding communities by supporting sustainable and independent economic development.

The event was attended by Gede Supriatna, Vice Regent of Buleleng, I Nyoman Gede Wandira Adi, S.T., First Vice Chair of the Buleleng Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), and the Acting Manager of PLN UP3 North Bali. Their participation demonstrated the strong collaboration between the local government and the PLN Group in supporting community development, strengthening local economies, and improving public welfare in Buleleng Regency.

During the event, livestock feed assistance was also symbolically presented to four local beneficiaries by I Nyoman Gede Wandira Adi. The assistance is expected to help reduce livestock farming costs while improving productivity. In addition, the Vice Regent of Buleleng symbolically handed over economic empowerment assistance to community representatives as a joint effort to encourage sustainable local economic growth.

Vice Regent Gede Supriatna expressed his appreciation for PLN Indonesia Power's contribution to community development.

"We highly appreciate PLN Indonesia Power's economic empowerment program. Strong collaboration between businesses, government, and local communities is essential for creating inclusive and sustainable regional economic growth. We hope this assistance will help residents expand their productive businesses and improve their families' well-being," he said.

Similarly, I Nyoman Gede Wandira Adi, S.T., First Vice Chair of the Buleleng Regional House of Representatives, emphasized that cooperation between government, businesses, and communities is an important foundation for sustainable regional development.

"Programs like this provide direct benefits to the community. We appreciate PLN Indonesia Power's commitment not only to providing reliable electricity but also to improving community welfare through social and economic empowerment programs," he said.

Representatives of the beneficiary communities also expressed their appreciation for the program.

"We are grateful for this economic empowerment program because it provides real support for local people to develop productive businesses. We hope this assistance will become the starting point for greater economic independence and create more business opportunities in our community," said one of the community representatives.

The assistance is expected to help residents expand their businesses, increase household income, and create broader economic opportunities. Through a combination of healthcare services, livestock feed assistance, and community economic empowerment, PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali aims to deliver lasting benefits to the communities surrounding PLTD Pemaron.

PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali will continue to implement sustainable social programs as part of its commitment to supporting regional development, strengthening relationships with local communities, and creating long-term social, environmental, and economic value around its operational areas.
