PLTU Asam Asam Provides a Safe and Educational Space for Children through a Visit from Tunas Cahaya Kindergarten
Asam Asam, June 25, 2026 — PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam welcomed an educational visit from children of Tunas Cahaya Kindergarten on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The activity was part of an early learning program designed to introduce children to the power plant environment in a simple, fun, and safe way.
The educational visit took place at the PLTU Asam Asam site and involved students from Tunas Cahaya Kindergarten, teachers, and the PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam team. Tunas Cahaya Kindergarten is one of the schools under the Kuntum Electrisiwi Education Foundation, which is managed by PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam together with the PIKK UBP Asam Asam.
During the visit, the children learned about basic electricity through fun learning activities. The materials were presented in a simple and easy-to-understand way, helping the children learn about the benefits of electricity in their daily lives from an early age. The learning session was cheerful, interactive, and full of excitement.
The children also visited the Sambar Deer Conservation Area located within the PLTU Asam Asam site. They had the opportunity to see the deer up close and feed them under proper supervision. This activity gave the children a fun experience while introducing them to wildlife, encouraging them to care for the environment, and helping them understand the importance of protecting biodiversity.
The visit continued with a fun water activity together with the Fire and Rescue Team (Damkar) of UBP Asam Asam. The children were excited to take part in the activity while learning about the role of firefighters in a simple and enjoyable way. The activity also provided early education about safety and emergency preparedness.
Senior Manager of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam, Fajar Pamujianto, said the visit showed that the PLTU Asam Asam site is not only a power generation facility, but can also serve as a safe and useful educational space for the community.
“PLTU Asam Asam is not only a place where people work and electricity is produced, but it also has an environment that can be used for education. Through activities like this, children can learn about electricity, the environment, wildlife, and safety in a fun way. This also shows that the PLTU Asam Asam environment is safe not only for adults, but also for educational activities involving children and the surrounding community,” said Fajar Pamujianto.
He added that PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam will continue to create wider benefits for the surrounding community, particularly in the areas of education, environmental protection, and social development.
Meanwhile, Principal of Tunas Cahaya Kindergarten, Nana Kirana, expressed her appreciation for the educational visit. She said the activity provided valuable learning experiences because the children could directly see, experience, and learn from their surrounding environment.
“We are very grateful to PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam for giving the children of Tunas Cahaya Kindergarten the opportunity to learn directly at the PLTU Asam Asam site. The children were very happy because they not only learned about electricity, but also got to see the Sambar deer and play with the fire and rescue team. This was a fun and educational experience for them,” said Nana Kirana.
This educational visit is a real example of collaboration between PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam, the Kuntum Electrisiwi Education Foundation, PIKK UBP Asam Asam, and educational institutions to provide learning experiences connected to the real environment.
Through this activity, PLN Indonesia Power UBP Asam Asam hopes that the power plant environment will become better known as a safe, well-managed, education-friendly, and community-oriented area.
Beyond being a power generation facility, PLTU Asam Asam also aims to be a place for learning, interaction, and growth for the younger generation from an early age.
