PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali Ensures Electricity Reliability Ahead of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr 2026
Denpasar, March 14, 2026 – PT PLN (Persero), through PLN Indonesia Power Generation Business Unit (UBP) Bali, has ensured the readiness of the electricity system in anticipation of Nyepi Day (Caka New Year 1948) and Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. The readiness was directly reviewed during an electricity standby activity conducted in Bali on Saturday (March 14).
The Director of Retail and Commerce of PT PLN (Persero), Adi Priyanto, accompanied by the General Manager of PLN UID Bali, Eric Rossi Priyo Nugroho, carried out an on-site inspection to assess the operational readiness of power plants. The visit aimed to ensure that Bali’s electricity system remains secure and reliable throughout the holiday period.
The General Manager of PLN UID Bali stated that during Nyepi Day, peak electricity demand is projected to decrease by approximately 30 percent, reaching around 970 megawatts. This reduction is typical, reflecting the significant decline in community activities during the observance of Nyepi.
Meanwhile, the Senior Manager of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Bali, I Made Harta Yasa, emphasized that all generating units are in a ready-to-operate condition, with an available capacity of up to 759 megawatts. This readiness is expected to support uninterrupted electricity supply, allowing the public to observe Nyepi and celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably.
